No, the gubmint only knows one fix for everything, through money at it and hope it goes away before the next election. They do the same with education, they are doing the same with banking and mortgage and they will do the same with this.

the bailout is a done deal. any attempt to do anything but gift them money will be seen as interference.
the similarity in reaction to welfare for the poor is shocking--- yes i want money but how dare you question my lifestyle.
