This seems to be a recurring theme amongst some, the UN is a failure. Ok, at what? What would have been different had there not been a UN? And of all the programs that the UN operates which ones are failing?
PS - Did you mean Brix or Blix. Blix is the guy who was pretty much on the money about WMD in Iraq so it couldn't be that guy. Who is this Brix fellow?
The UN is screwed up due to the fact that 5 countries have a ridiculous amount of power, so if there is something that hurts one of their interests they can just veto it and it's tabled.
