Just when I thought I'd heard of everything: now they've come up with a
handgun specifically
for the handicapped, and are calling it a "medical device". No kidding...
not a gun, but
a medical device
FDA approves handgun for the handicapped - Discovery.com- msnbc.com
I have mixed feelings about this. I'm really not "against" guns, but this one has me wondering if we've encroached into a grey area...
I can understand how some handicapped people may occasionally need to defend themselves. However, I am concerned that some people in really bad health may decide to use this contraption to take their own lives..
Why are they calling it a "medical device"? What specific medical condition does it treat? How can it not be "a gun"? If it's not a gun, then does that mean we can order one online, and get it delivered through the postal system? How did the FDA get involved in approving a gun? What if someone wants to take this "medical device" aboard an airliner?...
Your thoughts...
