Here's a shocker, according to the AP, Dec. 8. Freddie Macs multimillion dollar campaign to preserve regulatory free environment gave money to the firms of the following; Sen.D'Amato,$240,000. Rep. Vin Weber,$360,297. Rep. Molinari,$300,062. Hirschman-Chief of Staff for the Honorable Tom DeLay,$240,790Newt Gingrich got $300,000. There is more, Bob Ney(before he went to prison) and Paul Kanjorski D. Pa. got baseball tickets and Rick Renzi of Arizona traded Federal Land for personal gain. (don't quite understand that one).
Really? Democrats received nothing from either freddie mac or fannie mae? I find that hard to believe.
I never said the Democrats didn't take any bribes. It has been stated many times that the Dems are to blame for the foreclosure mess. This report from The AP kind of states otherwise.
I think we can all agree that both parties had their greedy hands in the till. It should come as no surprise to anyone why our country is in such a colossal mess.
Yep, The Dems got money also. If you read further down you can see John McCain getting $169,000. The Article dated July16 isn't quite as up to date as the AP article from Mon. Dec. 8. For some reason the Repubs got more money. $200,000 to $300,000. They must have a higher pay scale.
Every politician got bribed but it was the democrats who paid off.. they were instrumental in Fannie and Freddie's position... not the republicans... slight of hand statistics doesn't change the fact that the Dems were MORESO responsible for the Freddie/Fannie mess... look at Presidential and Congressional legislation if that's where you want to point fingers..
