If you have seen the funny SNL portraiting Paterson who is legally blind and the Gov. Blago, you either must have had a great time or as some and Paterson him self, be mad that this is not done.

I wondered why Paterson didn't speak up when McCain his age was used to make fun off or when Palin was made fun off over and over....

So if you are supposed to be be healthy, they can make fun but if you have something you aren't allowed to make fun off.

In my eyes respect for the old people isn't allowed either...or McCain being made fun off due to the fact that he can't use a computer, shouldn't made fun off...but McCain didn't mind and neither do I.

Actually the way George Bush reacted on the shoe throwing was hilarious and great for many people on how to react to silly people and not make a big deal of everything people are saying.....Paterson should be grateful for the attention he got and how his name was in the news....isn't that what politicians want...free publicity!

I think that is a crock of dog crap that mccain cannot use a computer if you can write you can type, just how big of a computer does he have.

I agree about the fairness issue here.

Personally, I wouldn't make fun of McCain's age nor Patterson's blindness, I think both are in bad taste.

Bush was great, his reaction to the shoe throwing was absolutely perfect.

I agree with the governor. As an official he is use to critics and isn't as offended for himself as a blind man, he's offended for the millions of people out there who are blind and probably feeling extremely slighted by a mainstream program like this making comedy skits off blindness.

Not quite perfect. Shrugging off the shoe throwing as not a big deal shows he's still pretty ignorant about Arabic customs.

I thought the SNL skit was pretty funny only because the portrayal of Paterson was pretty much dead on. However, it lacked a great deal of taste. Paterson's response in the article was perfect.

Hmm... Works both ways, ya know...

I must say, Patterson bumbling around unaware in front of the camera on Weekend Update was pretty funny, but I thought most of the "interview" was just plain offensive.

I think when you make fun of someone's disability, yes it is considered offensive. I'm sure if someone had cerebral palsy & was spoofed, no one would think that was funny.
