Bush's "key piece of evidence" on WMDs is publicly shot down on this date (2003), though that doesn't stop Bush from continuing to use it to sell us on his war.
Also, some ways that commander-in-chief Bush 'supported' the troops in 2007 are reviewed (2008).
Given this and other Bush actions it's little wonder that prominent GOPers are running from the Bush record (2008).
Bush History-Bush's Iraq Obsession, & Your Tax Dollars to Iraqi Sheiks, 1/12
Today in Bush History, 1/12 ... Bush's Iraq Obsession and Your Tax Dollars to Iraqi Sheiks
More on Bush's Iraq obsession (2003), from yet another Bush insider (see yesterday for more, from a second Bush source). And a related Bushism.
Also, a report (2008) on your tax dollars flowing to Iraqi Sheiks. There's a lot of things we can't afford here at home, but we can apparently spend millions to 'reward' the men who used to blow up our soldiers in Baghdad.

His pick for the Treasury is found out to be a tax cheat. Should I go on about the poor judgement of Obama?
You can certainly do so. Maybe Obama will redeem himself by bringing back that Arabian horse dealer to run Homeland Security's crucial FEMA department. Yes, we will all miss that fine Bush judgement that gave us 'Brownie', amongst other disasters.
But, I'm not here to defend Obama. He's not even president yet. Time will tell what kind of president he will be, though it will be almost impossible to be as bad as Bush, of course. Admitedly, it is an almost impossible task to be that abysmal.

Today in Bush History, 1/16 ... Bush Admin Working Hard, Going All Out ... to Promote the Interests of Enron-1/16
A letter on this date (2002) draws attention to the fact that the Bush admin. has been working hard, going all out, pulling all the stops to promote the interests of the likes of Enron. This was, of course, prior to all the criminal charges against the now defunct company, but after 'Kenny Boy' and other Enron interests had oh-so-generously lined the Bush campaign's pockets.
