They damn well better have the same freedoms after 4,000 American soldiers died there and Trillions of American dollars were sunk into this country!

IF he is punished with some retarded "hand cutting" than the U.S. should pull out totally NOW! We failed.

Personally, I think Americans should find their oldest sneakers and ship them to the White House....directly to Georgie!

What a perfect, unwitting, piece of propaganda. Before so many Americans gave their lives for Iraqi freedom, that guy would have been executed for embarrasing the government.
We couldn't have paid someone to illustrate better the benefits of our "interference" than that shoe guy.
Ironically, he's been arrested twice before already by US officials, according to the article. But if he's treated humanely and released I guess that indicates they're moving ahead.

At the bottom of the article there's a mention that on that same day, Human Rights Watch "accused Iraq's main criminal court of failing to meet basic international standards of justice.

"The New York-based group said torture and abuse of prisoners before trial appeared common, and legal representation was often ineffectual....some of the court's failings showed disturbing similarities to those that existed during the Saddam Hussein era."

You have to admire his restraint.

As though throwing a shoe is equavalent to invading the wrong country, killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people, squandering $3TRILLION dollars and bringing our country to the brink of bankruptcy.

Bush apologists just can't get over the fact their messiah is despised and reviled throughout the world.

And Obama is falling right into the same line. Things might be okay in the end after all.

Oh yeah, Bush committed genocide on the minority groups living in the United States.

You have to remember Bush is held responsible for the suicide bombers and the deaths they cause along with natural disasters and terror plots.
