WASHINGTON (BP)--The Bush administration has issued a rule affirming the right of doctors and other health care providers to refuse to participate in abortion and other medical procedures to which they object.

The Department of Health and Human Services announced the new regulation Dec. 18.

This is a good thing because abortion is murder

Forget that...it doesn't have to be about religion. No one should be forced to take part in any procedure they don't want to do.

It's a preemptive strike to thwart lawsuits on grounds of discrimination.

Sounds fine to me as no one should be forced to do something like that especially someone bound to protect life

If killing babies through abortion goes against the morals & ethics of a doctor, he should be allowed to not participate. Nothing wrong with that!

Since Abortion has been legal, what doctor has been forced to perform abortion?
