You should definitely take this into consideration. The real question isn't about global warming. It's about whether or not you want to start something with your wife that you may not be able to finish.

I don't even bother with all caps posts, just scrolling past them. There is the possibility that I am skipping some witty or thoughtful post, but it is a very slim chance

Fred you're a pro. I congratulate your wife and admire your happy marriage.

Shall we speak of global cooling felt most strongly by those in a dog house? hehehee

Take a glass of water with ice in it and mark the water level... come back after the ice has melted and note the new water level.

When your homeland is about three feet above sea level, waves tend to do that. As pointed out in this report:

World Climate Report » Lowering Sea Level Rise

We have written about sea level rise many times in the past, and there is no doubt that the sea is currently rising worldwide. However, the sea level rise has been taking place almost monotonically over the past 8,000 years, with substantial decadal variability embedded in the trend. In 2001, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concluded that “No significant acceleration in the rate of sea level rise during the 20th century has been detected.”

Yet another major article has appeared on the subject of sea level rise, and the results are not going to be popular with the developers of the million or so websites on the topic. The article is published in Geophysical Research Letters, the authors are from Tulane University and the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and the work was not funded by any horrible industry group.

So we have an on-going "crisis" measured in a milimeter or so a year documented evidence.

But Obama will give folks jobs, high paying "green" jobs, to fight global warming.
How about channeling all this global warming crap into more productive and real environmental issues? Over fishing. Pollution of our waterways and drinking water tables. Mercury emissions. Lead in the air we breathe. China is poisoning themselves to death and we can't understand fact that the sun's solar activity cycle causes heat waves.
We either have little or no evidence that man influences the earths temperature more than minimally. Gore's a charlatan but thats all we elect anymore. And yes I do think he won in 2000.
