Ridiculous. There were 22,000 Jews living in Lebanon in the late 50's, and now you say there are only 300. So where did they all go, and why?
The first exodus of Jews from Lebanon occurred during the civil war of 1958. The second wave left during the Lebanese civil war which started in 1975, which started because of friction between the Christians and the Muslims. Jews were kidnapped and murdered in pogroms. The Jewish neighborhoods and shops were taken over by the Muslims.
There are 60 "registered" Jews in Lebanon today. Why they have to register, I have no idea. The rest of the Lebanese Jews, if there are any, are in hiding. There is a synagogue standing in Deir el Qamar which isn't used because of security concerns. There is no rabbi in Lebanon anyway.
As to your contention that Jews didn't emigrate to Israel from Lebanon, I think it's safe to say that a heck of a lot more of the 22,000 ended up in Israel than currently reside in Lebanon today. You have no basis to suggest otherwise.
Anyway, it's a rather funny notion that "The Lebanese Jews always lived fine", when there are literally only a handful left.
