If it weren't for corrupt men in positions of power the world would be a better place.
Both religions are based on peace. Both at any given time in history have been distorted to meet some fanatics agenda. I doubt Christ or Muhammad would agree with how either religion has been used.

Actually, if you study the life of Mohammad, you'll find that he was a very violent man. He and his hordes slaughtered many people. It's a matter of historic record.

In all fairness: by the standards of the era; was Mohammed really any worse than his contemperaries (sp)? 800 AD was not very nice.

Mohammad actually lived from from 570-632, and basically he wasn't a lot different than a lot of contemporary warlords. It's just that he claimed to have divine revelations on his side.
