He put the sticker on HIS truck which I think he is entitled to do. This country allows for freedom of speech and religion.
That's how I see it, too.

I don't think that he is complaining about what he had to do...he is repenting for something he did as a loyal soldier for his country that goes against the teachings of his religion.

He isn't calling the war unjust or criticizing the establishment - in his own words as quoted in that article, he did what he felt he had to do.

A decal is a bit tacky, but maybe he got tired of everyone targeting him with their opinions and decided to just put it out there for everyone to see?

No doubt one of life's cruelest ironies................they may well give their lives fighting for freedoms which they themselves are denied.

TRUE,though they are allowed to vote ,but it makes sense. You cant have a effective army where soldiers are allowed to question and undermine.

That man has the right to put whatever he wants on the back of his car. He shouldn't have to hear about it, either.

Wow, I've seen some bumper stickers with much "worse" than that on them, colorful language-wise, too. And who really knows (or cares to wonder) who the driver is?

How'd somebody like to be a President? Ever see some of those doozies regarding (recent/present) presidents? Wonder how the first families (including the kids) feel when they see bumper stickers when they're out and about? Or on their ways to school?

I'm not saying I despise them or anything. But everybody's game.
I just laugh at the witty, more creative bumper stickers & ignore the lamer ones anyway. There are bigger issues to worry about out there for these folks complaining about this soldier... like people never utilizing turn signals!!

My personal favorite is "I Brake for Hallucinations."

The bumper sticker is incorrect. If he did kill someone in Iraq, it wasn't for "our freedom".
