Haha, the point of Free Rice is to learn. If you miss a certain amount it will knock you down to the appropriate level. Your level is given based on how many you get right or wrong so little kids can answer and it will know to move them down to a lower level right away. I think it's effective in improving vocabulary. I personally use both sites everyday but the one you posted has a one click limit while the rice one has no limit. I think they're both good because they both accomplish different things. I know that some teachers were using the free rice website to improve their students' vocabulary. Either way, by visiting these sites we're helping these causes.
