Boston, MA (AHN) - Police departments across the state of Massachusetts reportedly will not ticket people in possession of marijuana, even if they are caught smoking it.

Officials say a new law that decriminalizes having small amounts of "pot" makes it impossible to enforce penalties because it is poorly written.

The only people likely to be upset by that are the defense attorneys.

It's about time the East Coast got a Smart State.

Must have a lot of married gay pot heads. Now that's my kinda state! Put law enforcement resources where they belong - catching white collar criminals like Madoff who steal more with a pen than a million people with a gun.

Hip, hip, hooray!! It's so ridiculous to spend tax money on arresting people who have an ounce or less - they're obviously not dealers.

I am a lesbian who will get married here, and we'll have pot at the wedding!

Real American patriots denying TPTB on punishing with regards to ridiculous laws. I hope and expect to see more dissent among the LE and military chain of command with similar orders.

Default Police complaint is BS!

This has nothing to do with Marijuana or the new law which decriminalizes possession of Marijuana.

Massachusetts police departments are simply pressuring the legislature for a new "Stop and Identify" law which will give police authority to require anyone they encounter to identify themselves.

Do you really care if someone has a small amount of pot for personal use?

"small amounts of pot for personal use" is what keeps these cartels in business.

The pot heads of the world keep trying to say that if they just legalized pot, the pot cartels and dealers would go away, but if those same pot heads would grow up and stop getting high, there would be no market for drugs.

I know that's a hard concept to understand, but one day pot heads will sober up and realize that they were acting like children.
