Pretty sad.
I don't see why the state wouldn't want to do direct deposit either but I bet the state gets a share of the fees too.
If not, I'd be jamming the phone lines demanding that they do direct deposit instead of nickle-and-diming me.
I don't see the problem... most of the fees are a result as the fault of the unemployed abusing the debit card privileges... if you get normally get one check a month... you should be withdrawing all of it once a month....
