I know Bush 41 was ranked by Presidential historians as higher than either Clinton or Carter, much higher than Carter. To be fair Clinton lost ground on ethics he was rated behind Nixon there.
Both were pretty poor in foreign trade policy, IMO. But Bush 41 won high marks for Desert Storm according to the historians.
I saw some video footage of Bush getting rescued from his ditched plane, and even read the account by japanese witnesses.
I regret not voting for him at least once. He was just a tough choice to have as somebody to fill Ronald Reagan's shoes, although I thought Dukakis was a far worse choice. Ross Perot got my vote the second time.

We need a new bird farm about as much as we needed its namesake. Not at all.

This thing is just a make work projected by the need to "project power" over a failed empire. The most sensible thing we could do is mothball it immediately.

The world is a violent place. There is nothing better able to deliver the awesome military power that is often needed than a carrier like the USS George H.W. Bush.

Mothballed? No way!

This ship, along with the other carriers in the United States Navy, and the carriers yet to built, are part of the might that keeps this country free
