True, you won't find whites in black areas unless they're renting to low income people. As for the original question the answer is simply that they go where they can attract business. Second, they sell mostly cheap crap so of course lower income people will be the best customer.
You won't find whites shopping at Save-A-Lot Supermarkets.
well, there have MANY arguments by black shop owners that the vendors, the majority of which are black, are putting a chokehold on the distribution of certain products. they felt it was enough of an issue to create an organization just for black business owners. so yes, there may be other reasons why blacks can't make it in this business (though in the end, it comes back to them to help themselves, something black people themselves agree w/. even most black business owners don't blame Asians doing something they themselves should have been doing)
anyhoo, I found links to the youtube doc, which was very interesting:
Coming up with say $70,000 to open a startup biz seems like a lot, but if you get 2 partners you trust, its doable, esp with the kids working and helping the parents. So that immigrant business model (and not just Asians) I guess is working. Americans just seem to want things given to them, they think they are great this, super that, without accomplishing anything - I see it all the time, and not just blacks.
Its not enough...More of the superrich who are black should be doing more...
Actually, more lower and middle income Blacks should forget about finding a "job" and start their own businesses. They would benefit the most by not relying upon a company to hire them.
Small business ownership should be encouraged in the lower income Blacks communities because it would instill a greater level of involvement and ownership in the community. The "no one will hire me" mentality needs to transform itself into "I have what it takes to start my own"
Black owned businesses will be the ONLY way that the Black community as a whole will pull itself out of poverty.

One big problem with Black America is that socialist/marxist thinking is fairly prevelant within our group.
Many black leaders, influential Black intellectuals and conscious rappers are anti-capitalism. So in order for Black Americans to use capitalism or the free enterprise system as a path to economic development we will first have to overcome the very socialistic leanings of influential Black leaders and intellectuals who keep focusing on gov't wealth redistribution as the cure all for every Black ailment.

Agreed 100%. It's amazing how breathtaking revalations such as the one you highlighted, spoken from someone within the black community, go completely unnoticed. How are rappers anti-capitalist??? Their album covers are littered with 100$ bills and they take pride in criminal (though capitalist) enterprise.
Black people need to stop relying on the government as a primary/dependent means of employment, welfare, and gospel.

Here I was referring to some of the more conscious/political rappers not the bing-bling or gangsta-thug rappers. There are rappers who promote a more marxist view through their music like the Coup and Dead Prez and some others.
In New Jersey it is common for White people to live in Black neighborhoods ?
Invalid question. If ONE white person (in New Jersey or elsewhere) moves into a black neighborhood, it would no longer BE a black neighborhood..it would be "mixed". Particularly if it was "common", then it's even LESS likely there'd be any 'black' neighborhoods at all...'black majority' perhaps.
Same dynamic occurs among those who express alarm about "all those foreigners moving into a WHITE country".....
Wrong.....invalid statement. Moot point.
