Did anyone catch Hillary's Nomination Hearing on C-Span today?

I heard two thinks that bothered me.

1. A Senator asked Hillary something to the affect; If you had Gay or lesbian employees in your Department, would you accommodate them to work, live and travel together?

I wish I had caught his name.

2. I think I heard Senator Kerry ask Hillary in a round about way, "if she thought thinks are to tough in Afghanistan, would you recommend giving up?"

Is he for real?

Maybe the Swiftboat stuff went to his head.
