100% left? Not a chance. There is FAR more evidence that this is a Christian board.

It blows my mind if you truly believe this. So you think Christians should not have the same rights to free speech as all others. This is what it sounds like.

I think the moderators bend over backwards for liberals, and like I said I think they show a lot of tolerance for Christians as well. And I did not say 100% left I said I disagree with you 100%. . . but you would expect nothing less from me!

I never said ban religious threads.

I said, give you your own forum. Otherwise, please try to be considerate of others that share this one with you.

I like religious threads mixed in with politics. I don't believe you can separate the two. I know you highly disagree but I think you need to accept that this is how it is in the world. And again, if you don't want to engage in debate simply do not click on the link. If you ignore it the thread will die its own death but as long as people keep arguing back and forth the thread continues.

I tell ya what.

You convince the owners of City-Data to allow sexual discussion, as well as pornography to be posted on the P&OC forum, and I'll withdraw my objection to religion.

Deal?

But see, I would not even click on to a thread on porn so it wouldn't affect me in the least.

But if that is what you are after I am sure there are a lot of places on the internet that you can find it, as opposed to debating on politics and other controversies!

No, it's not what I'm after all.

I'm merely illustrating my point. What YOU find to be offensive, others find no problem with, and vice-versa.

..and add profanity to the list.

These are things that I have no particular trouble with. So how about we get the rules changed? I'll post all the good quality porn I can find, and you can post all the scripture you want, deal?

...and the same can be said about religion. There are literally hundreds of forums dedicated to the subject. Why do people choose to discuss here and not there?

Because faith is not something we practice or discuss behind closed doors. It's something we base our lives on. Unlike porn or any other "interest".

Hard for you to understand, I know, but that's how many of us feel. I agree with other posters that you can easily bypass the religious threads. Especially the ones you feel are spam.

I said I'd opt out of this thread but I did want to answer that.

Well here's something for YOU to try and understand.

I believe religion to be the root of all "evil". I think it can explain most things wrong with the world, and I absolutely despise it.

My way of life is AVOIDING religion. My task, is MUCH harder than yours, because it would seem to be absolutely everywhere.

Porn, profanity, and sexual discussion are FAR MORE gratifying to me than religion. So who are you to judge what is acceptable, and what is not? When we allow those things in this forum, THEN I'll say we are "free" to post what we wish.
