Guantanamo Detainee Was Tortured, Says Official Overseeing Military Trials

The interrogation, portions of which have been previously described by other news organizations, including The Washington Post, was so intense that Qahtani had to be hospitalized twice at Guantanamo with bradycardia, a condition in which the heart rate falls below 60 beats a minute and which in extreme cases can lead to heart failure and death. At one point Qahtani's heart rate dropped to 35 beats per minute, the record shows.

No surprise, as Bush has sadistic tendencies and has had them his entire life. I posted some excerpts yesterday pertaining to this.

George W. Bush: The Decider Chooses Torture

http://www.smirkingchimp.com/thread/2618

Now combine this sociopathic trait and Cheney's sickening depravity and you have a recipe for atrocities.

And how do you describe Clinton?

for example...
Waco (just have to love the FLAG in the photo dont you?)

bombings of Kosovo.

Yeah, that Bush.. he only locked people up vs that Clinton who killed people... such torture.. Guess those people in Waco didnt consider their being burned to death torture either.

Where in any of my previous post or threads have I defended violence? Why does any decision that Clinton made exonerate The Bush Crime Family from their war crimes, war profiteering and crimes against humanity? If Clinton was guilty of a crime and I don't mean receiving oral sex, I never said he should not answer for it. Why do you not address what Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Rove, Gonzales, Yoo and the rest of the Neocon cronies have done in the name of our nation while posing as a legit administration?

I note you didnt answer my question but expect me to answer yours.

p.s. you may have missed it but the Supreme court ruled that Bushs' locking up of prisoners were legal and even Pelosi and numerous other Democrats that were involved signed off on the "torture"..

happening-here?: Pelosi signed off on torture

Presidents do things unpopular including "torture", if your going to criticize one president for doing it then you need to be criticial of all previous administrations, the difference here, Bush tortured terrorists who were in one way or another involved with trying to kill us, they ended up alive in the end while Clinton tortured US Citizens till they died and others involved with making aspirins... wow, dont we feel safer now..

It is shameful to know that this man was president of our great country.

VERY shameful. Ever since this man became president, everything had just gone downhill for us.

Bush Administration was a Torture administration

Judging from the moaning and whining of liberals for the last eight years I'd say the torture was fairly effective.
