"In answer to all of the name calling on this thread I would like to point out that an AOL poll showed 56% of over 100,000 who voted believed that there is merit to the controversy surrounding Obama's citizenship."

And what pray tell is 65 million minus 56% of 100,000? Miniscule, I would suggest.

Hey, I never thought of him as possibly not being NBC! I knew about his dad, born in Mexico to US born parents, but yeah, he had a father born abroad, too. How interesting!

It's interesting, the earliest presidents did not have parents who were US citizens b/c there was no US. Then we had a period of great immigration, and Andrew Jackson was born just two years after his parents emigrated from Ireland. Woodrow Wilson's mother was not born in the US, and there are several others. Barry Goldwater was born in the territory of Arizona. A VP's mother was a Native American, and not eligible for citizenship at that time. It's never been as cut and dried as some think it once was.

I agree that it is not a scientific poll but it is still a poll of more than 100,000 people and just the fact that a significant number of them thought there was merit to the controversy should at least open some apostles eyes. Why would anyone call anyone else childish names just because they have a different point of view. Have I called anyone a disparaging name of any kind?

Thank you for that post because I believe that it still isn't cut and dried.

Firstly, I'm not an apostle. I don't know what your question is apropos of, but I have only attempted to logically break-down your argument and reduce it to its basics.

Look up apostle and I think you will find that it apropos.

If you are not a name caller then the post was not meant for you.

You know, there are some people who would like to amend the constitution so that Arnold S. could run. He is a Repub (obvi). Who would object to that?

If the constitution were amended, and the SCOTUS clearly defined who was eligible, then I would want that to be followed. So if he was eligible then good, if not, then no.
