Great? Probably not. He had his moments. I admire him for sticking to his guns. But in the end, yeah, he made some mistakes.

The difference between me and someone with Bush Derangement Syndrome is that I don't think that his every act, from putting on his shoes in the morning to invading Iraq, was pure evil.

As I said, he had his moments. There were some highpoints of his administration.

I don't think anyone is arguing that he made no mistakes. I just don't think that every time he clipped his toenails, kittens got fed into a wood chipper.

Good point. Thoughtful conservatives from Pat Buchanan to John Fund dislike Bush. The people who still like him are not conservatives, but Republican hacks, usually of the dittohead or creationist loon variety. The type who think Obama is an "Arab".

I noticed you didn't discredit a single item on the list of failures, but only chose to revert to immature and irrelevant name calling. Now why would that be?

Nope, Bush and cast of corrupt of incompetents have destroyed this country. How sad that the Bush defenders can only revert to childish name calling in defense of this incompetent, corrupt traitor bastard. History (facts) will crucify this greedy incompetent bastard as the traitor to this country he is.

Because half that stuff on the list had nothing to do with Bush, directly?

Is he supposed to stand at the border and personally inspect every cow that comes in?

Is he supposed to stand at the port with a lead testing kit, looking for dangerous toys from China?

McCain and Feingold get their ridiculous bill passed, and somehow it's Bush's fault that it (inevitably) failed?

Outsourcing didn't begin with Bush, and it won't end when Bush leaves office. Even Obama isn't serious about stopping it, or he'd be talking about real tax cuts for businesses and trying to get rid of the insane regulations that make American workers so unattractive.

New Orleans was a failure of (Democrat) local government.

This isn't a list of Bush failures...it's a list of bad stuff that happened between 2000 and 2008, regardless of any real connection to Bush himself.
