Have a feeling that you will be very disappointed if these things do not come to pass per your prognostication, since you will have been proven very, very wrong.

Not to be too nitpicky, but I would hope that, in an Obama administration, foreign terrorists would have the same rights as Americans, regarding the right to a fair trial.

agreed. I cant beleive that we are going to be a socilist country tomorrow. We should just start rationing our food tomorrow to the homeless bums and giving our paychecks out to buy poor people bus passes. This is going to be the worst time ever in American History. THat socialist loser wont let us save our money to buy hummers and boats. Nope, we will be feeding poor bums while eating tuna out of a can.

The stock market crash that triggered the depression.

That depression not only caused over a decade of economic misery, it also created the conditions that allowed a slime bag named Hitler to rise to power in Germany....leading to WWII and the Holocaust, leading to the Cold War.

More radical than Cheney, you know, he of the legislative branch! He who just has to say it's true and it's true (WMDs and chemical weapons are all over Iraq, mission accomplished, America does not torture, torture is not illegal, etc.).

hahaha! Come on!

Please, give me a break. As if this country is not well on its way to socialism already. And Obama is going to have to really step up the "bad president" game if he is to ever beat the reigning champion, Mr. George Walker Bush. Why don't you just grit your teeth and finally get over the fact that this man is in fact going to be our new president and just pray that he does well. I mean, do you just really want this country to get worse off than it is. If not, then just let it go for a minute and pray Mr. Obama is not the villain you have all portrayed him to be. At least give him a chance. Maybe he'll even surprise you.

I didn't vote for him either but now that he has won I have no choice but to hope this will turn out well for our country. Because anything other than better is completely unacceptable and I don't wish to see our people suffer anymore than they already have. He may not have been my first choice, but I must at least give him a chance now that he's won. Hope for the best, and plan for the worst.

I'd say one of the worst days in world history would be August 2, 1934. This was of course the day Adolf Hitler took office and became the fuhrer(president) of Germany. While I am sure there have been equally dispicable days in history when other conquerors and despots took their place on high. But Hitler stands out because of the atrocious task he set out to accomplish and the near fatal result it yielded for the Jewish people.

In American history, it is my opinion that October 26, 2001 was one of the worst days in our history. This of course was the day the Patriot Act was signed into law. That day marked a decisive move towards communism which continues today. Our freedom of privacy was from that day forth destroyed, with nothing being sacred anymore. Not even your library book selections. Sure, there have been more violent, dispicable days in our history. But on no other day history were our Constitutional Rights so heinously trampled on. It is a day we should never forget and certainly never accept.

Murdering babies and other things like that. It is a really big hero that uses the power of elected office to make sure the totally innocent have absolutely no rights and gives rights to the totally sinful.
