Odd that Dresden is the first thing that came to your mind. I would have thought of Auschwitz/Birkenau, Polpot, Stalin, Mao's "cultural revolution", Rwanda, Saddam and the Kurds, the Balkans genocide, the Armenian genocide etc and today's Dafur that the entire "civilized" world is ignoring. Dresden happened after we started finding the extermination camps, and, frankly, we became furious in horror and outrage. It was a very regretable over reaction and totaly unnecessary for ending the war; the Germans were hopelessly beaten at that point.

In retrospect they each seem unnecessary.

Not Muslims? You can't be serious.

Since the OP didn't include it, here is the article from the Telegraph.

Too many "it was but now it could be claims" and the even getting the spelling of their experts name wrong.

Maybe they talked to the wrong "expert". (bio (http://www.sgpproject.org/experts/igor_khripunov.html - broken link) of the real Dr Khripunov)

Almost seems like a fake article with something as easy as that wrong. You search on his incorrect spelling and you get thousands of hits in google on that article but nothing else, but search on his correct spelling and you get nothing about the Telegraph article.

(but we always trust the press when they agree with us, now don't we)

Because it's nonsense. Of course they're Muslims. Al Queda is a Muslim organization that wants to kill anyone who is not also a Muslim. That's how they roll.

Al-Qaeda hit by Black Death fear as medieval plague kills 40 terrorists at training camp | Mail Online

This line from the Times article was laughable.

A security source told the paper: "This is the deadliest weapon yet in the war against terror. Most of the terrorists do not have the basic medical supplies needed to treat the disease.

and

"Contagious diseases, like ebola and anthrax, occur in northern Africa. It makes sense that people are trying to use them against Western governments."

Thousands of deaths happen each year from "The Plague", mostly in Southeast Asia, Africa and Central America. Nothing linking to "Developing Biological Weapons" in any story other the OP's news article.

It's a long walk from getting it and dying from it, to using it in a controlled fashion as a weapon.

So the real story is

Some people, who are part of a terrorist organization, died from the plague, which kills thousands each year in certain parts of the world.
Not as exciting but factual.

None of those used a named quote as the Telegraph article, although they took some of his quotes and used them in thier articles and called him a security expert, or the had the misspelling of his name.

My guess is they all used the same source for their article (but i cannot confirm that) without any fact-checking.

(note: the telegraph had 2 articles, a first one without a quote, then a second one with the expert quote)

I'd like to see this claim authenticated by some additional sources.
