Im no fan of Bush, but the media loves to harp on this being the..
Bush recession, etc.I understand the president gets the credit/blame..
For the economy if he is responsible or not.
Can someone tell me HOW he ruined the economy?
He passed Tax cuts during his presidency to keep economy running.
He has as much blame as Clinton,on pushing more bad mortages..
But he isnt soley responsible for that.
Im still waiting to hear how Bush got us into a recession.?????

In one of his farewell whines Bush said he'd inherited a recession. He must believe the President responsible for the economy of he felt it necessary to mention that.
Bush did not, the start of all this can be traced right back to the corruption of the Democrats and Fannie Mae. The only issue you can have with Bush is that he let the Democrats have too much control such as appointing Paulson as Secretary of the Treasury who in turn appointed more liberal Dems.
To quote the incredible Ronald Reagan:
"Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem."
Too much government interference in lending and our lives.
Most of the people on this board try to act like they are economic experts and most are completely full of crap. But hey it's the internet I guess they can be whatever they want.

Kinda describes 99% of the people in the banking/finance industry.
So Reagan, as the head of the government was also the head of the problem?
Or was his rhetoric just another lie? Or would it be just another thing dismissed with: "Well, I can't remember"?
Don't be so dramatically dense. We have a government and we need one, we just don't need one of huge proportions. At least Reagan was trying to solve the problems which he did a great job doing.

Yeah, he did. Actions have consequences, such as launching the dumber-than-dirt war in Iraq, Non-actions have consequences, such as letting the bank CEOs rape the system and pad their accts with billion dollar bonuses

WHAT did he do to lessen the problem?
While a big dog & pony show was made when a tax was lowered/eliminated, they were also raised/levied a number of times much more quietly.
And HOW does outspending an enemy gain praise for someone who was allegedly a fiscal conservative?
His administration did a great job selling sizzle, haven't found the steak yet.
