That's human nature isn't it.Love can turn to vicious hate quickly, have you ever been to a divorce court and watched people who used to claim a love for one another? Bad deal.

I'll answer, but I don't have manufactured rage, or any rage for that matter, or any prophecies.

I didn't vote for Obama because of what he promised to do. He scares the heck out of me. However, since he's President and he said that Americans are going to have to put some skin in the game, my whole family intends to do so. I was very encouraged at his comments about this because he wants all Americans to work and seems to really care about all American people. I thought the ball for military families, and focusing on the children was brilliant!!

At the inauguration, I was disappointed to hear the racist comments. I don't understand why race has to enter into it at all--why bash whites or any race at an inauguration of all places. In any event, now we're into his Presidency and one of his leaders is talking about not giving infrastructure repair contracts to "white" contractors. Again, why does race have to enter into it at all? Why not let qualified contractors, regardless of race or gender, submit bids, and let the best most qualified bid win? I understand that the comment was made because the leader possibly believes white contractors are already working. But what if they're not. He wants them automatically excluded because they're white. If Obama's presidency or if Obama's followers believe this is going to be an era of payback for the whites because of their sins, then let's just quit playing around and say so. Personally, I think it's the minority, but the comments at such a location as the inauguration and thereafter concern me.

Obama wants a new era of responsibility, yet has a leader who appears to want to give handouts to those who may not be qualified. Understand, I am all for putting the unemployed to work. I am all for helping those in need. The government can require the contractor put a percentage of unemployed on the job to get the bid.

I'm still planning to continue to put skin in the game, and always have before, and will put in more if Obama asks. But if Obama takes that skin and gives it to people who aren't putting any skin in the game and/or continue to sit on their "skin", or if his leaders insist I put in more skin because I'm white, I'm taking my skin back.

I heard on the news today that Obama is having less of a problem with our Republican leaders than he is his own party (i.e., Reid saying Obama is not his boss). I'm grateful Republican leaders are working with our new President and am really, really proud of them. Also, why is Obama afraid of Rush Limbaugh's comments to where he would think our Republican leaders are actually listening to him and tell them to refrain from doing so? Is he wanting to limit free speech? We'll see.

If he follows through and improves America, I'll see who's running against him, but will probably be voting for Obama in 2012 since he will be a known factor and since the other things I don't like I can fight against.

I have to ask those who are so quick to judge; what if Obama manages to reverse the economy in the next couple of years? What if Obama keeps us safe during his term? And what if Obama increases your personal freedoms with regards to gun ownership or government surveilence?

If he does so without raising your taxes and without invading your privacy will you vote for his re-election in 2012 or would you vote against him based on party line ideology?

Although I think your question is an interesting one; I think an additional question could be:
Why would we NOT want Obama to be successful?
Is racism and prejudice and anger towards Obama stronger than the desire to have Obama be successful? I would certainly hope not...why would anyone want failure rather than be wrong about the possible success of our new president... truly makes no sense to me but then again, neither does prejudice, racism and hatred....

Angry What if Obama is successful?

It looks like I'd better explain something fundamental to all of you immoral, stand-for-nothing, fall-for-anything libs out there.

Obama will only be successful if and when Limbaugh tells his dittoheads that he's successful, OK? And I gotta tell ya, that ain't looking very likely. So, get used to it...

You elected a racist, commie muslim who pals around with terrorists.

Bush and Cheney are laughing at you now.

"Hey George, America will want us back in a few months. But I say forget it. Those fools can go eff themselves!"

Yes, failure in his ridiculous socialist policies. Failure for him = success for our country.

I am much more concerned about issues than I am about parties or ideology. If Barrak, the black Democrat, manages to turn the economy around, I'm all for it. If he keeps his mitts off my guns, I'm all for it. If he lowers taxes (really lowers them, not just giving more tax "credits" or whatever to people that don't pay income taxes in the first place), I'm all for it.

But why should I wish him success when he wants to introduce another gun ban, for example?

Show me this gun ban.
