She finally has the 'balls' to come out and say it. Yeah, stop having kids when you are counting on the gov to pay their rent and food. Thank you.

"While I do not agree that any authority has the 'right' to determine how many children any person should have (or not),"

I need to clarify my statement a bit more - any LAW-ABIDING, non-murdering, dangerous or strung-out...citizen.

I could come around to Pelosis way of thinking. I would be for cloning Ann Coulter types and sterilizing Demwits. Hey, Utopian ideas are not always popular at first glance.

Not everything has to be about creating jobs. Leave it to a GOPer to believe that only one thing can be done at a time.

THIS has to do with an attempt to reduce unwanted pregnancies, which can often result in welfare, and as a result, expense to the government. Does an investment towards spending cuts sound alien?

If this pork gets soo much support take it out of an "emergency stimulus program" and make it stand on its own. This stimulus program was to benefit the country immediately (or so we are told by the media, and our government) They say bad things are going to happen if we do not get this through now for immediate help. This condom pork would not see any benefit for years if any at all. Stick with the stimulus, take out the damn pork.

Please do explain.
The Chinese government refers to it under the official translation of family planning policy. It officially restricts the number of children married urban couples can have to one, although it allows exemptions for several cases, including rural couples, ethnic minorities, and parents who are only children themselves. A spokesperson of the Committee on the One-Child Policy has said that approximately 35.9% of China's population is currently subject to the one-child restriction. The policy does not apply to the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao. ( only capitalist parts of China can enjoy personal freedom)
The one-child policy promotes couples having only one child in rural and urban areas. Parents with multiple births, however, are given the same benefits as parents of one child.

The limit has been strongly enforced in urban areasIn most rural areas, families are allowed to have two children if the first child is female or disabled. Second children are subject to birth spacing (usually 3 or 4 years). Additional children will result in large fines: families violating the policy are required to pay monetary penalties and might be denied bonuses at their workplace. Children born in overseas countries are not counted under the policy if they do not obtain Chinese citizenship. Chinese citizens returning from abroad can have a second child.

Now, do u understand why it is communist thinking of Pelosi.
It's about total government control. How does it match with liberal mantra "keep the government off my body" ?

I don't see it at all as being a bad thing. I also don't see it as 'the government is controlling my body?!?!' like many seem to. It's about PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. If you don't have the means to raise a child DON'T HAVE ONE... especially don't have 6 or more! The government is not trying to stop people from having children if they can afford it, but instead is helping parents plan their families so that they don't have to rely on government assistance.

Why is that so hard to understand?

It's up to them. it's not government business. It's their personal responsibility.
Government shouldn't encourage propcreation by issuing welfare and stimulating having a child just to have a reason for a check. We already have generations on welfare in housing projects.
When people realize they and their children gonna starve they maybe start thinking better.
there is a difference between government enforced birth control for poor and their personal choice for control under a circumstances. We can't liberties away from the poor even if we think they shouldn't create more poor.
