If the pork was removed it would not be a bill!

so why not give every body the money and let us stimulate the economy!

Hell no to it! What did the first bailout do? Nothing. 2nd bailout is the nail to the coffin! But I'm glad it passed cause when the economy goes to hell, then maybe some people will realize that they been taken. Not once, but twice.

Default obama stimulus package

[quote=seamusnh;7212754]If you were a Senator, how would you vote on this stimulus package that is designed to create jobs?

yes of course i would. this is not a bailout. this is a stimulus. whoever does not understand this, does not understand our immediate need to overcome the helpless effect of job loss, medical assistance, home loss and the emergency situation of these times. a stimulus package will begin to renew hope. it will promote individuals to feel less helpless and encourage us all to find a better more lasting way to create jobs so we can help ourselves again. it is for people willing to work who cannot find work. it is for people who have over extended their credit who now will begin to pay off their debt and earn what they wish to buy first before they buy it. this stimulus package is a beacon to unify our discouraged & sufffering communities who feel left out and get them to stand up and find a way out of this mess. it is not a hand out. it is a hand held out to make us stand up on our own again. it is a necessary and productive first step to let us know that we can help ourselves. it is not a cure all. it is a first step, but it is a step forward. anyone who does not understand the need for a stimulus package does not undertand that it is both a symbolic compassionate commitment as well as a practical reaching out to share something 'anything' with those of us who have lost it all and have nothing. this economy is in a dire situation. we must open our hearts and have faith once again in the american spirit which created this great free country. even if it is now only a tiny flame. it can still light the way. as you see it so it goes. see it good and it will get better.

This is not a stimulus package - this is a spending package. It is also irresponsible at best. This is a package designed to buy votes for future years by saying "look what we GAVE you". When it fact it is more about the taking. Now I see why the Democrats did not want oversight on the Fannie Mae issue. All part of their evil schemes.
