I swear to God right now that if any major company like Pampers, Gerbers, whatever, gives this woman any freebies, I WILL launch an angry letter campaign to these companies and demand to know why they're rewarding such horrifically irresponsible behavior! and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one! this story have mad a LOT of people very angry. yeah people are happy the babies and alive and relatively healthy, but I've yet to see any comment defending the mother. hell, a lot of comments I've seen are worse than what I've seen in this thread!
if some individuals want to stuff this crazy lady's pockets, let them, but no more free cars, homes, and diapers for life! it's these types of blatant freebies and exposure to fame that likely planted the idea in her mind, and if she gets rewarded, more women are likely to follow in her footsteps. really, it not much different from teens getting purposely knocked up so they can qualify for free tuition, housing, and WIC

I was thinking the same thing... I'm there with you. I'll be writing angry nasty letters.
One of the benefits of eliminating social assistance would be the effect of having people such as this mother take some personal responsibility for her actions.
One reason why I would like to see welfare and social assistance eliminated is because these 'safety nets' encourage irresponsible child raising. The poor and homeless shouldn't be actively trying to have children when it is obvious they barely have the ability to take care of themselves. If you want kids, get a job otherwise you are selfishly raising kids into poverty.
The world is overpopulated as is without the need to bring more children into this cycle of misery.
My opinion is harsh yes, but I'm more concerned for children to be raised in good environments, than in sugar coating patronization.

I read the above in an article and it makes me angry. I hope that no one gives her the time of day. Or if they have to give her something, make it ONLY the time of day and no $$.

Hmmmmm... mother's name is Nadya Suleman, donor of the oldest 4 is named David Solomon? Sounds like they're actually my people (Jewish), LOL. Also says she has a degree in child & adolescent development, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree - and from what I could gather, she is not receiving any social assistance. So, now what do you all have to say? I still just think she is cuckoo, but race and welfare don't seem to apply in this discussion.
but why would she have so much kids? she still can't take care of them on her salary. she is still seeking assistance from other sources, which is still not really earning your way. In the end, she is irresponsible either way.
Some people have an ego trip regarding their genes or a form of narcissism and have children to spread their seed. They can't make a big dent in the world through great achievement so they do this by having children.
