I will repeat, a lot of retired Canadians vacation to AZ in the winter. That could be the whole explanation.

I understand that part of Obama's health plan is free airplane shuttles to India or taxi's to Mexico for expensive surgeries.

This is the cost reduction part of his health care.

Can you imagine getting a call from collections demanding that you pay the bill you have yet to receive the service for. What would you do if got a call from a hospital collections demanding payment for the heart attack you might have.
What if in the 5th month of your pregnancy the hospital called and demanded payment for the delivery you're gonna have.

Well it appears that's what hospitals are doing.
Rising bad debt has hospitals resorting to new finance tactics with patients (http://www.startribune.com/business/42020657.html?elr=KArksCiUHc3E7_V_nDaycUiD3aPc:_ Yyc:aUHDYaGEP7eyckcUs - broken link)

Much depends on the area - here in the Phoenix area, the times are much shorter as we have a significant number of specialists in the area and a number of fine hospitals also

I can assure you that many intentionally get their medical care when they come here - be it that hip replacement, or the eye surgery, or the dental care, or the vision care.

It can all get done in very short order.

To the contrary TM - I KNOW my insurance works for me and my family.

And quite honestly, I trust my judgment over the governments, far more than you do - evidently, and your comments substantiate this, you believe the government knows best.

As far as I know, we are the only industrialized nation that doesn't have a national health plan. So are you saying Canada, France, India, Israel, Germany, Finland, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Australia, New Zealand....

and the list goes on and on

are Communist countries?
