I voted for Bush--2x--I am a Christian and I am not a racist.

Have the scars to prove it--once in a MacDonald's--at a peak lunch hour--I was not feeling well--made a remark that had nothing to do with race--and was attacked by an African American woman--Caucasian patrons thought I had made a racist remark, too. After the attack--police were called--but nothing was done. FWIW. I suppose MacDonald's didn't want the publicity.

shrug--Any trace of Liberal Guilt was removed that day.

ETA: On another occasion I was beaten again by an African American woman. Didn't open my mouth--just standing there.
Nobody did anything to help me--some said they didn't 'see' the attack. Currently under investigation.

Many people take positions on the issues without really doing their homework. They're swayed by their friends, media, political party their family has always sided with, or what they believe public opinion to be. It's all worthless unless you cast your educated vote.

The problem is that there is no way to respond to the accusation of racism other than to blow it off. You either leave it as unchallenged or offer some response such as mentioning that you have black friends, which also seems to mean that you're racist.

Does this forum always have to have a thread that pertains To Race somehow, somewhere. We will truthfully never get over Racial Issues, if someone constantly brings up something that has anything to do with a racial issue, it just keeps things in the forefront. I believe some use the term Racist quite easily, and readily, unless it pertains to themselves.

I have heard people claiming not to be racist or bigoted, and in the next breath speak of blacks or other minorities as if their race or skin color meant they were barely functional, inferior human beings, who needed the care and feeding of compassionate white folks, and anyone who thought otherwise was a racist. LOL
