While I think that the right thing is being done with the two withdrawls today, I smell a rat....
Were Bush's nominees under such scrutiny when it came to their taxes in 2000 and in 2004?
It's a question, I did not pay as much attention to politics back then, since, the damage to my country under Bush's reign of terror, did not go into full swing yet. I'd like to know, hopefully not from a kool aid drinker who worships the GOP and everything they do.
Notice how I'm not saying that Bush's appointments cheated or undereported taxes. However, I find it hard to believe that none of their appointments, back in 2001 and 2005, have had any tax issues, especially with all the money they earn (I can be 99% sure they are millionaires).
I would not be shocked, based on Rove and the GOP's sleaziness, if someone has some connections there with the IRS and is getting information and using it in a BS way.
Maybe, just maybe, that's why you did not hear about tax issues with W's nominees, no one thought that it should have been a deal breaker, in the minority party back then, enough to look up that stuff.
