Nobama can sure pick 'em!

Hilda Solis' husband yesterday paid about $6,400 to settle tax liens against his business -- including liens that had been outstanding for as long as 16 years.

No one seemed so concerned that John McCain's wife was delinquent on property taxes, which is why it's surprising that so many people are so intimately interested in a cabinet nominee's spouses taxes. (And from personal experience I can tell you that property taxes are a heck of a lot easier to deal with than household employee taxes, which tripped up the CPO nominee.)

Looks to me that the matter is with respect to a business run by her husband that the nominee is no part of.

She is absolutely a "part of" her husband's business taxes. It is her husband! They share the income from his business...and most likely the same bed too. Also, she is felt to be an influence on her husband's decisions.

16 years of not paying the taxes?

Incredible! Aren't these obama-nominated tax-cheats a perfect example of the democrats and their ideology and hypocrisy?

We are the high and mighty, we don't need to pay no stinkin taxes - that's for the rest of you poor slobs that we want to tax the SH** out of.

No, she's not. My husbands business is completely separate from me. I am not liable for anything that happens with his business.

And it wasn't 16 years of not paying taxes, it was an old lien.
