Makes me wonder of the connection between the father and son. Was the father planning a coup d'etat of some sort. On the surface, it really doesn't make sense for Irwin Schiff to protest taxes. I would assume he (Irwin) is of the well-to-do crowd and his fight "for us" doesn't coincide with reality.

Is his son merely a by-product of his (Irwin) disillusions?

If so, i can understand why the U.S. Govt put him in jail then.

One last thing, if the currency in the U.S. were to collaspe, gold and silver wouldn't be the main bartering device, at least among my crowd. That, i can guarantee.

It's funny watching people clamor over gold. Now i know why the indians shook their heads when there was gold-mania in its hey-day.

Gold has a long, long history as a store of value, and use as money, certainly more than some Indian beads did. Walking Eagle? Never heard of him.

Nobody says one has to choose between gold and Remington 870's, choose them both.

Here is the story of someone who ate, crapped, and retrieved some hidden diamonds for 15 months!!

Zisblatt's entire family was killed in the gas chambers, and those four diamonds were the last mementoes of them. The only way Irene could keep the diamonds hidden was to swallow and retrieve them over and over again. She did this for 15 months.

Gold or no gold, there will be bartering going on. It will be, to most, and me, just another commodity. Not a be-all end-all currency as some act like it would be.

You never heard of Walking Eagle??

What happens when an eagle is full of sh@t that it cannot fly?

BTW - A gun would hold more value than gold would. At least in my opinion...
