I have no problems with Christianity, but look at all the passages in the Bible about charity and giving to the poor. Then look at a lot of these Christian leaders, their multi million dollar churches, and personally I find the words about following Jesus a bit empty. Lets see them do more work for the poor.

I have no problem complaining about other religions about this either. They should all practice what they preach, this includes turning the other cheek, helping the weak and poor, etc.

The Pharisees are always with us.

Well, the pharisees are all too many and seem to be in control from what I can tell.

I fail to see where Christ would have supported more military spending and tax cuts for the wealthy at the expense of the poor.

They'll always be in control and outnumber the Christians (and other humanitarian outfits) because self-interest is a more powerful motivator than altruism.

Well I consider myself a liberal and I don't like what I consider "lip service Christians" Show me ones that are in favor of helping the poor in real meaningful ways, in favor of families getting to spend time together (not being pulled apart by work and economic interests, there's some real family values) and I'm all for them.

Money is Mammon's favorite tool to lure Christians, as well as others, into sin. Mammon is just another name for the Great Deciever.

Why do liberals hate Christians?
could it possibly be that they're viewed as hypocrites?

There's no such thing as a liberal Christian.

Liberal political philosophy breaks almost every one of the Ten Commandments.

Therefore no real Christian could ever vote for a liberal.

To do so, means they have a hand in murder and stealing.

I'm liberal, and I'm not intolerant of Christians. I may argue that they cannot use Creationism in a science classroom, but I do apply the same standards for all religion.
