People who tend to hate public investments and taxation tend to love the automobile lifestyle for the freedoms it affords the individual and despise mass transit investments.

Yet, it was major government infrastructure investments that built the interstate highway system so beloved by those who hate public investments.

I'm not trying to be inflammatory here. I'm seriously just confused.

A private Corporation owns the American highway system.

The name of this Corporation is: The Federal Reserve Bank.

Yes - it was in the Defense Budget.

Remember the Cold War?

The Autobahn was more of a National Ego - wasn't used that much during the war.
