[sarcasm] It is fairly simple. The eagle egg has different DNA from a human. Therefore, killing it is not allowed. The fetus has human DNA and our society kills humans all the time (wars, capital punishment). The fact that the fetus DNA is different from the mother's DNA and different from the father's DNA does not matter. That is just some scientific argument to destroy a woman's right to privacy.... [/sarcasm]
"I think Abortion is digusting but its never going away in this Country..."
Maybe some day (100+ years), people will look back at abortion the way we look at slavery - it was wrong, it should never have been allowed, WTF were people thinking back then????
I'll bite. Bald Eagles are worth more than human fetuses.
For as long as one can remember, Bald Eagles have been on the Endangered Species list. In 2007, they were removed... only to have a short-time victory and return in 2008. Until humans end up on the list, more care and effort to secure the lives of Bald Eagles will be taken over a human fetus. Not to mention, we're talking about a National Symbol.

They are on par with a chicken. THere are 4 billion chickens killed every year in the United States...
So, for a "National Symbol", we end a human life (check the DNA). I suppose that the next time we see someone burning an American Flag (another "National Symbol") they should be executed on the spot.
305 million human beings in the US versus 10,000 breeding pairs of bald eagles.
Human beings almost wiped the bald eagle population out in the early 1960's with the use of DDT. The bald eagle is our national symbol. And why the **** would anyone break a bald eagle egg on purpose? That makes no sense at all. Just don't do it.
Bald Eagle Facts and Information (http://www.eagles.org/moreabout.html - broken link)
Quote:
POPULATION SIZE & DECLINE: Bald Eagles were once very common throughout most of the United States. Their population numbers have been estimated at 300,000 to 500,000 birds in the early 1700s. Their population fell to threatened levels in the continental U.S. of less than 10,000 nesting pairs by the 1950s, and to endangered levels of less than 500 pairs by the early 1960s. This population decline was caused by humans. The mass shooting of eagles, use of pesticides on crops, destruction of habitat, and contamination of waterways and food sources by a wide range of poisons and pollutants all played a role in harming the Bald Eagle's livelihood and diminishing their numbers. For many years the use of DDT pesticide on crops caused thinning of eagle egg shells, which often broke during incubation.
RECOVERY & PROTECTION: Strong endangered species and environmental protection laws, as well as active private, state and federal conservation efforts, have brought back the U.S.A.'s Bald Eagle population from the edge of extinction. The use of DDT pesticide was outlawed in the U.S. in 1972 and in Canada in 1973. This action has contributed greatly to the return of the Bald Eagle to America's skies. The Bald Eagle was listed as Endangered in most of the U.S. from 1967 to 1995, when it was slighted upgraded to Threatened in the lower 48 states. The number of nesting pairs of Bald Eagles in the lower 48 states had increased from less than 500 in the early 1960's to over 10,000 in 2007. They had recovered sufficiently to delist them from Threatened status on June 28, 2007.
Since delisting, the primary law protecting Bald Eagles has shifted from the Endangered Species Act to the Bald and Golden Eagle Act. Although Bald Eagles have made an encouraging comeback throughout the U.S.A. since the early 60s, they continue to be face hazards that must be closely monitored and controlled. Even though illegal, Bald Eagles are still harassed, injured and killed by guns, traps, power lines, windmills, poisons, contaminants and destruction of habitat.
What about a Bald Eagle that breaks its own egg, is that abortion and 5 years?
I don't know...what about capital punishment? Is that "retroactive abortion"?..how about murder? "delayed abortion?".....how about rape? "A guy who has problems getting dates?".....How about surgery..is that a "legalized knifing of an unconscious victim"?....
