about trying to squelch free speech?

Breitbart.tv » New Audio: Camille Paglia Blisters Democrats for Pushing Return to ‘Fairness Doctrine’

She really rails against her fellow liberals about the fairness doctrine that some dems are trying to reinstate.

For one political party to try and silence the another by government decree is totally outrageous.

She is right on the money.

Absolutely she is Spot On.

I did notice that no names are ever mentioned as proposing the Fairness Doctrine be reinstated. if you know of any, please let us all know.

Liberals would be idiots to want conservative talk radio banned. We like to keep the opposition where we can watch them. Besides, Rush gives away all the republicans' trade secrets on his show. Where could we go to find out what this week's disinformation is if he were banned?

Nah. Never happen. Liberals are WAY too smart to do that.

I love this:

"They've totally betrayed the soul of the party to even mention this."

Camille Paglia is a fruitcake. She's almost as crazy as Sarah Palin.

Nancy Pelosi has advocated reinstating the Fairness Doctrine but she has never introduced any bill nor taken any sort of action to do so.

Obama has said that he not only opposes the Fairness Doctrine but would veto a bill to reinstate it.

As I have said before, reinstating the fairness doctrine for liberals is like overturning Roe v. Wade for conservatives - politicians bring it up to further motivate the faithful, but would never dare actually try to do anything for fear of the severe political consequences. It's just a way of ratcheting up the enthusiasm of sectors of the base and nothing more.
