The left accuses the right of having a facsist scheme. The right accuses the left of having a socialist scheme. Frankly, I don't care for either scheme, but I do care about my country. It's way past time to put away the childish accusations, to quit the baiting from both sides, to pay attention to what we have in this country, and to work - TOGETHER - to keep our Democratic Republic.

Quote:
Merriam-Webster defines fascism as follows: "a political philosophy, movement, or regime . . . that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition."

Socialism is defined as: "any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods."

Democracy is defined as: "a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections."

That's hardly ever going to happen. It seems like after Obama was elected, socially, this country has ever been so divided.

The country is only "divided" by the hard core nut wing of the Republican Party. If anyone thinks that the right wing crazies on CD is representative of the views of most Americans, you need to change what you are smoking in your pipe.

On the flip side, if you think that the left wing wackos on CD are representative of the views of most Americans, you are smoking something pretty strong

I’m waiting for the corporations and big business to get out of the back pocket of government. Maybe after our politicians stop taking money from them things will change and the citizens will have their government back.
