Looks like this one is flying under the radar, for now.

As for your question, yes. He would be a fool NOT to expect trouble of some sort, given the present national and world situation.

And Bush's love of the contracting services wasn't his? IMO, that's more of a threat since there was absolutely no oversight.

It never fails...the fake conservatives dust off their Big Brother arguments as soon as Dems come to power....pretending to be faithful defenders of liberty...LOL

1) Where was the thread starter when Bush stationed active duty troops on US soil on permanent assignment for security purposes...violating the Posse Comitatus Act????...which basically lays the foundation for the President to have his own Praetorian Guard???

2) Where was the thread starter when Bush was wiretapping US citizens without judicial oversight???

3) Where was the thread starter when Bush held a US Citizen in prison for five years before he was put on trial???

I'll tell you where he was.....on these boards or maybe not....but likely not giving a tinker's damn about anything Bush did that took away Americans civil liberties.....cause Bush was such a great moral guy.

Everybody is distracted by the country's economic meltdown so now is a good time to set up the Imperial Secret Police.

Department of Defense Expeditionary Civilian Workforce
The Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Civilian Personnel Policy) has been designated by Under Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness) as the lead in expanding the opportunities for Department of Defense (DoD) civilians to fill Global expeditionary augmentation requirements. As result of this initiative we have received from Joint Staff a list of requirements for DoD Civilian Volunteers to serve. These opportunities are on Joint Task Force Headquarters staffs supporting operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations worldwide.

The above is from the links.
Does anyone see a problem with freeing up existing military personnel for more combat related operations? The keyword is overseas and can be part of volunteerism. They can work in non combat and humanitarian support in countries to build a working partnership with our military operations and minimize any loss of combat preparedness. Is that a bad thing to some of you?

Well the real question is what is your opinion now when this is coming from your own teammate? Not really a time to point fingers and make comparisons... its all just further distraction.
