** Title is incorrect this is a poll of all New Yorkers not just Dems.

Put another nail in the coffin to the arguement "Bipartisanship" and how voters just love pro-NRA candidates.

They want real liberals elected in New England not conservative Dems.

New York State (NY) Poll * February 17, 2009 * Curse Of Caroline Leaves Pater - Quinnipiac University

Governor Patterson would lose along with his Blue Dog Senate pick.

P.S. They all can't stand the likely Republican candidate ....King

You might want to actually read the article you post-"While voters are not happy with the process, they do approve 45 - 33 percent, with 22 percent undecided, of Paterson's selection of Kirsten Gillibrand as U.S. Senator. Even Republicans approve 42 - 33 percent. " What do you know, consensus!

The gist of the article seems to focus on the fact that voters didn't like process. I take it that they were frustrated that someone like Carolyn Kennedy, with absolutely no experience, was the prime contender as long as she was. IMO that's a good thing, the electorate is actually paying some degree of attention to qualifications and ability, even if the ruling elite wasn't.

I was about to point that out too. By the way, New York is not New England.
