Obama is against the Fairness doctrine, and I haven't read the National gun control bill, so I can't say if it's a good bill or not.

HR 45 has been introduced in the House , but has no co-sponsors.
It's DOA. There is no Senate counterpart . The same bill got a total of 16 co-sponsors in 2007. That's 16 out of 435 members in the House.

You know, you're messing with their paranoid delusions and it's not really fair, because it's all they've got.
When the economy collaspes, and food gets scarce, then the guns will come out and it will be a very violent time. Banksters and politicans are the ones that will be in FEMA camps hoping to be protected from the masses. If you don't have enough food for 90 days for your family then you proably won't survive. Most people will starve off during that time, then those that survive will start all over and rebuild this country.
I pretty much agree with you. Don't know about the banksters and politicians going to FEMA camps but, when the "feel good" society breaks down and the unprepared starving try to take from those of us who have prepared, then things are going to get pretty messy. I pray to God it doesn't come to that.

As much as I like a citizen revolution as the next anarchist, I can't see it happening. By logical extension, ever since after the articles of confederation, Americans have been slowly watching their liberties become eroded. Why start here instead of any point in history since 1777.
Can I see a revolution at a federal level? No.
Could it happen at a state level? Very small possibility. Wyoming? New Hampshire? Possibly! Anywhere where states rights are respected.
On a county level, 50/50 depends, probably over taxation. Wish it were over property.
Regretfully, the only moment the American people were truly free were between the end of the revolutionary war and the declaration of Independence, it's been bigger government ever since.

The left doesn't realize this but Bush's numbers dropped like a rock because he lost support from most of the right. In the last 2 years of the Bush administration the right was hopping mad about Bush. They felt he governed too much like LBJ or FDR.
(Incidentally the economic mess was caused by Dem control of the house since 2006 - the House of Representatives is where spending bills originate.)
But now, we have an illegal alien in the white house, who's threatening to chip away or outright deny the 1st and 2nd Amendment rights of half of America's citizenry and racially and religiously discriminate against them ... so you do the math.
