I say, segregate yourself to you heart's content. Just don't expect the rest of society--and that includes elected officials--to support, endorse, reflect, or agree with your desires. Want to live in an all-Black neighborhood? Fine. Live with the consequences of it. Want to live in an all-White neighborhood? Sure. Just don't expect to remain relevant.
The rest of society is getting past homogeneity, which means that antiquated laws and similar ways of thinking will be gone in short order. Stay behind if you wish.
So then, according to your post above, you would agree that self-segregating organizations such as these are antiquated and their ways of thinking should be gone in short order?

Now, that's just silly. You wanna outlaw the St. Patrick's Day parade? Black history month, Miss Black America, etc. are ethnic celebrations. I have yet to hear a black person complain about the Pulaski Day parade, Polish Constitution Day parade or Cinco de Mayo. Or B'nai B'rith.
And a black mayor hosted the Redneck festival. Get outside your comfort zone.

If electing Barack Obama President and confirming Eric Holder as Attorney General makes the US "cowardly" when it comes to race, what does it say about the rest of the world?
Mr. Holder's foot is firmly in his mouth. And his head is definitely in a place it does not belong.
my point is that he does not need to make and social commentary as the AG of the United States.
