I was reading the Wall Street Journal at work today and I do not need any more evidence that we are headed towards complete disaster! I don't know if anybody else read the news but the FDIC is running out of money! They will be broke in exactly 6 months! The only way the FDIC will be able to survive is by charging banks outrageous fees which will lead to the failure of many banks. Now, if you are a consumer, would you keep your money in a bank that is not FDIC insured? In addition, the commercial real estate crash is just around the corner. Once we start to see more commercial mortgage defaults, the entire banking system might just collapse along with the FDIC.

How many of these end-of-the-republic threads are you going to start? One should have been plenty.

I am sorry that you are still under Obama's hypnosis. I have been following the financial markets for the last 15 years and what we are going through right now is unprecedented. Maybe it is a good time to start paying attention!

You have been following the markets for 15 years and others have been following it 20,30, even 50 years, and yet both Democrats and Republicans alike, some of the worlds finest economic minds all just let this little crisis develop and you didn't say a word? You just now figured out were in a predicament? Of course its Obama's fault, right? Now this bail out stuff has many things I disagree with and make no sense to me as to how it will help us out, but there are a good number of real economic guru's out there who believe in this thing and they have worked for both Republican and Democratic administrations.

I have been mowing my grass for at least 15 years and I couldn't give you an accurate description how photosynthesis uses sunlight to covert carbon dioxide and starches down to usable compounds such as sugars. I can tell you that if I forget to pay attention and mow my grass as I sit and have a BBQ, drink beer, and watch the stock market all day that my grass will grow to the point it gets out of hand and has to be bush hogged instead of mowed.

I would never keep money if they weren't insured, that would be crazy. We will see more banks fail, unemployment will surely keep rising. This will not be fixed overnight or for quite a few years to come. This is the worst it's been in a very long time. It isn't just another recession.

I likes to start no less then 3 threads on the same subject each day. Personally, I wish the mods would limit people to 2 threads per day and make people use existing threads if the topic is the same. That way you don't have to wade through so much garbage to find the decent threads.
