There's nothing to apologize for. The men in Vietnam were aggressors and invaders and war criminals. They deserve no special consideration.
I suppose you think the same of the men who have been fighting in the War on Terror to protect your sorry rear end from further attacks on our own soil by an enemy that wants to kill us for no other reason than they hate the West, and it is their aim to destroy our Western culture, our freedom and and our civilization.
People like you ought to be drafted into the military and sent to the front lines.
To protest the Vietnam war while in the streets of America is one thing. To provide aid and comfort to the enemy on the field of battle should have resulted in her receiving a bullet in the brain. It was more than her sitting and posing on the communist anti-aircraft guns. Jane Fonda A.K.A. Hanoi Jane
On November 21, 1970 she told a University of Michigan audience of some two thousand students, "If you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would some day become communist." At Duke University in North Carolina she repeated what she had said in Michigan, adding "I, a socialist, think that we should strive toward a socialist society, all the way to communism. " Washington Times July 7, 2000

Obama probably admires this woman like he admires William Ayers and Jeremiah Wright. They think exactly like he does.
I'm sorry but I have to disagree. No matter how you feel about the conflict the soldiers mad a pledge and should be honored for putting personal feelings aside and serving our country.
I disagree. I can separate my support for the military and my feelings about the war. What about Obama's campaign arguments against Hillarys that he would have voted against the Iraq War? Are you mad at him because he said that?
miu, you need to reread lamexican's post. What he's saying is he didn't agree with the vietnam war but supported the military service members. As for Obama's campaign statement saying he would have voted against Iraq, it's meaningless. He can say whatever he wants to get elected especially since he didn't have to cast a vote when the time came. Her vote was on record,...he didn't vote. He can say whatever he wants about what he "would" or "would not" have done and it's all meaningless.

NEW YORK – It's been decades, but Jane Fonda still can't shake her "Hanoi Jane" image from the Vietnam War.
About a dozen Vietnam veterans and other protesters on Saturday picketed the theater where the 71-year-old actress is starring in the Broadway play "33 Variations," telling passers-by that she had once visited their Viet Cong enemy in Hanoi.
Sad lol. The US trades with Vietnam now. These poor old guys need to move on.
They don't have to forgive her, but they should probably move on to something relevant.
Way too much common sense in that post...it'll never fly.
To others:
The Vietnam war was NOT Jane Fonda's fault nor responsibility nor was it that of war protesters....but they are easy targets to blame when you can't think farther than the end of your nose. No one else was at fault?
I see how easily some BELIEVE the words of the "enemy" if they are against Fonda...do you /have you always believed the enemy? Taken their word as gospel???
