Here is some facts to enlighten you, most middle class Americans have 401K's and their 401K's are mostly invested in the stock market. So the stock market does effect them. Actually it probably effects them more than it does the upper 5%. Why? Because the upper 5% would have a more diversified portfolio of investments.
While I agree that the stock market affects 401k's, working people have access to the same amount of diversification through mutual funds and bank-assembled plans with accompanying risk. My company's plan offers everything from no-risk (cash and bonds) to high-risk (growth oriented stocks).

Sorry but the bush years were a dismal economy for the country.albeit they were good for wall street. Well not in the end.
Unemployment was at or near an all time low during most of the Bush administration. I guess it's only dismal if you don't like people working. On second thought, leftwingers don't particularly like work, do they?

Are you kidding? The vast majority of the world's populace would have voted for Obama, if they had had the privilege.
