You don't have to be a weatherman to see which way the wind is blowing.
A friend of mine has a Homesteading list and in the last year its tripled the members. I had to put the messages to the site so I don't see a count (was getting inundated) but I'll bet its really exploding now. You notice nobody is making fun of survivalists anymore.

How can people not be scared. The failed Obama administration has a tax cheater, porno laywer and attorney general on their team that calls Americans cowards. If the country is in serious debt then how is spending nearly a trillion with 700k going to a polar bear exhibit and millions to the marsh mouse and $5 billion to ACORN among other pork spending going to fix this country?

Not to mention his other plans that have been discussed.

Scary, scary, socialist, capitulation kind of stuff.

I get what you're saying!

The economic crisis isn't as bad as we're being told. It's just a ruse for the powerful left-wing conspiracy to plunge us all into socialism.

This might take a minute for me to grasp the implications...

It's a darn good thing that we average Americans have watchdogs like you Hannity and Limbaugh to keep these evildoers under a microscope.

SeekTruth- Oh MY seriously- you wrote -The failed Obama administration ?
How out of touch with reality is that? You are going to blame the world's problems on a man who has only been in office a month and not the one who was there for the past 8 years? Just how does one's mind come up with such an equation?

It's unclear if all of President Obama's stimulus package will be effective. Certainly Obama has stated that there will be transparency and those projects that are failing will be altered or cut. He is also open to suggestions from anyone -regardless of party- who has some better ideas. (So if you have one, submit it on the website)
Truth be told, some of the ideas probably won't work out as intended. He's taking some risks in bold directions for this country and to address the failed economic situation he inherited when he took over the office a Presidency a month ago.

Blame yourselves. You let these people do this to you. You didn't complain loud enough because you think you're free while simultaneously feeling like you're insignificant. You got your instant manifestation: a country run into the ground by people whose intention it is to do exactly that. Once you get over that fact--that you are responsible--take action to improve your situation.

I started getting concerned in 1999. My mood plummeted on 9/11 because the Fall of our Empire was materializing. Yep, we're goin' down... One doesn't want to acknowledge the signs. Most people are in denial. So 73% are now concerned, but how many will do something about it?

Obama's solution consists of:

Tax Cheater Sec of Treasury
Porno Lawyer Deputy Attorney General

That's change you can believe in!

Very very true. Being silent is voting with the controllers. Yes, people should be scared, should be thinking of the what ifs but also should be speaking out. But how many hear things like NSA data bases and decide to keep it to themselves?

I think the survivalist types started to become respectable about 2001. People woke up to the fact that we are not invulnerable and we can be touched and that maybe our government couldn't fix it. Katrina cemented it.

Well, that's up from Oct.

With good reason they are scared - the dems and obama are virtually unfettered to impose their socialistic agenda on the nation.

Yes, I would rather have the alternative.
