Hitler was a Socialist with contempt for the common man (the insignificant man). The Volkswagen was truly a creation of Socialism.

Why do you think Hippies and Liberal Academics drive Volkswagens?

Why do you think Lesbians drive Suburu Outbacks?

He hated parasitical bankers and conniving investors.

Wooooo - horrible president indeed.

Get a grip, people.
No one is saying he is a horrible president for this.

I do however think that with his many fumbles, Saturday Night Live and the media better get on it and make fun of him. The car thing, 57 states, etc, etc. would have been fodder on the evening news had any other president said it. Saturday Night Live would have had Tina Fey geared up had Palin said it.

Where are the jokes about Obama's incompetence????????????

Someone could make millions if they started a website spoofing Obama......some good material to work with.

By not making fun of Obama, the impression is that Obama can't take a joke, or that worse yet, he really is a creation of affirmative action, and the presidential bar has been lowered for him.

I have no idea what relevance any of this has. You claimed Germany invented mass production of the automobile. You were incorrect.

The United States - thousands upon thousands of people - contributed to bringing the automobile to the masses.

Well, where are the jokes about Colin Powell?

Some people just rise to a level of respect and maturity that belies a core desire to mock them.

Comedians follow the demand of the market place like any other industry. People simply don't want to laugh at Obama because he carries himself in a manner befitting respect.

The reason SNL was so popular for mocking Palin was because it gave voice to a demand in the populace to mock a candidate in over her head (same with Bush).

Whether you disagree with their politics, people like Powell and Obama command respect by their demeanor and overall competence and intelligence (making little slip ups far smaller because they have demonstrated intelligence and command of the issues in other contexts).

Get your facts straight!

Ford (America) is credited though for being the first to Mass produce the Automobile....
Yeah, believe it or not there are several steam powered moving vehicles with wheels way before the 1880's so it is very difficult to say X invented the car. Otto Benz put the first gasoline powered engine into a carriage but it didn't even have breaks and he didn't even try to sell his proto-type initially because he figured there was no market for it. Charles Duryea founded The Duryea Motor Car Company in Massachusetts was actually the first company to successfully build cars to sell and for a while was the world's largest automaker before falling behind and going out of business at the start of WW1.

I don't think Germany will be too thrilled by Obama's statement....

We didn't invent the four cycle piston engine that powers them either. That was origianally called the "Otto-cycle" engine, and it was a German invention too.

Nicolaus Otto - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bet he didn't know that either.

I SAID, "The mass produced automobile (one for the insignificant man) was created in Nazi Germany."

Pay attention.

You might learn the difference between Individual Liberty and Civil Liberty.

In a Socialist State, people (plural) have, as a group, Civil Liberty - meaning that none are allowed Individual Liberty other than what the rest of the group is allowed. Everybody is equal - Hooray!

In a Free State, Individuals have Liberty. This is forbidden in a Socialist State. Go ask Hitler, or something.

If Henry Ford had lived in a Socialist State, his brain would have been dumbed to the lowest common denominator of all those "equal" people.

Well, I don't know what an insigificant person is. I've never met one. The mass produced automobile was created in Michigan. End of story.

All the other blather about socialist this and that is rather negated by thousands of years of major European contributions to the world with regard to art, science, philosophy, technology, etc...

Just stick to the topic.
