To "feel better". That's what passes for accomplishing something these days.

That's what I call security of the State.
In a simple over view, that is why no enemy of ours will come here because the REAL Patriot will draw their weapons and defend their country.

In my view the the purpose of a well regulated militia, is that after the Revelutionary war the active Militaries were disbanded, and those veterans were sent home with their weapons until their were called upon to defend the country again or when such time was needed to, to regroup and build up an army.

As we look at the military structure of the military units that were assembled in each state for the civil war, we see that it was from each state that the militia groups were formed and they went as a company or group. There wasn't really anything of a sizeable active duty. But patriots that took up there arms when called upon by the government for the purpose of conducting war.

All though these are my thoughts in observation, all in all most people in this country are nothing but a bunch of over weight, whining, brain washed pansies, too lazy to stand up and speak out in force to the govenment, (redress of grievences), and when that doesn't work, to take up arms and bring the government back into control.

I see. So Reagan signed that into law. I didn't know he was anti-gun.

I believe you can still own a full-auto if you get all the right permits.

not like the old AWB and that one was unconstitutional as well. the new AWB will include shotguns, 22lr rifles, bolt actions, scopes, .50 rifles and over 300 types of firearms and its variants.

I think this step will just be another step into the 2nd civil war, and rightly so.

you cannot take away a culture without dire consequences, and doing this gun ban will do just that.

democrats go drown in your lakes of blood for doing just as bush did, taking away more of the "peoples" constitutional rights.

No, it won't. What Holder said was that they want to reactivate the Clinton ban, and that did not ban the types of weapons you mention above.

Stangely now Pelosi opposes the ban.

No, because Heller vs DC was only about DC handgun laws.

If you want an assult rifle, you should get one now, because this might pass. You can still pick them up for less than $1000. I was thinking about getting an AR-15 last year, but I talked myself out of it. I'm happy with my .45 and the shotgun, althought I might get a 40 cal Sig P226 this year.

I have more than 10, and the GF has more than I do. we plan on getting quite a few more in the next couple of weeks.

the democrats sure are looking for a fight these days with banning firearms from the law abiding citizen, otherwise known as the "people".

Security of a free state refers not only to having a well armed citizenry to protect against foreign invasion but to also keep the U.S. a free state against a tyrannical government. This was actually addressed in the Heller decision (along with the proper meaning of "regulated" in reference to a militia).
