Didn't you hear about the Heller decision? The Second Amendment has NOTHING to do with the Army. "The People" mentioned in the Second Amendment are the same "People" mentioned in the rest of the bill of rights. Get over it.

Last year the House approved a similar measure by a vote of 266 to 152.
85 Democrats voted to repeal the ban.

More information is available at:

Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence

Check out the Brady press release and additional information.
It's a 3 page Cliff's Notes on the Senate measure.
Hysterical.

Oh my, what a convincing argument. I'm sure the cartels will be flocking to DC to stock up on arms now. LMFAO. Yep, they will be lining up to fill out those form 4473's and get on the 2 week waiting period list.. Catch a clue amigo. We all know that you hate firearms and firearms ownership and the rabidity of that hatred is very apparent in your posts but it makes for very weak talking points in WHY we should give up our rights under the second ammendment. Guess what , I own a BUNCH of semi auto versions of service rifles. Not one of them is going to end up in the hands of a cartel thug. The shops I bought them from don't sell any guns to these creeps either. They get their guns from black market sources by the freight car load and not from LEGAL dealers in the US either. Lol, established governments in South America and even Eastern Europe deal with these guys directly ,albeit unofficially, because they have the MONEY to get the attention and recognition. Somehow methinks that the loads of AK's landing at the cartels docks ain't coming from little gunstores in the US. Or perhaps there is some wild conspiracy involving Cabelas, Scheels and such to sell the cartels guns off their back docks? Lol, put your tinfoil hat back on man....theys gonna git ya.
